A Winter Solstice Celebration — December 21
IT BEGINS!
You are invited to join in the celebration of this year’s Winter Solstice. We will gather on Sunday, December 21st, and internationally—all at the same time—mark the beginning of the expansion of light.
REGISTER
It’s FREE, but you must register. CLICK HERE to book your space for our celebratory event through Zoom. Space is limited.
NOTE: after you register through Zoom, they will send you the link for our Together in Time 2025 event. You can add it to your calendar. And Zoom will send you a reminder notice—with the link—shortly before the event.
WHAT TIME FOR YOU/ME?
Did you notice that there’s no “time” mentioned above? What time will it be where you live? Here where I live, in the eastern portion of the United States, Eastern Standard Time (EST), it will be 10:03 a.m. when the gong strikes. In England, Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), it will be 3:03 p.m. when they hear the gong.
GO HERE to calculate your time.
Did you know that Google says, “Time zones divide the world into 24 zones, each 15 degrees of longitude wide, to account for the Earth's rotation and its position relative to the sun.” Click here to learn from Wikipedia about time zone information.
WHAT IS A WINTER SOLSTICE/EQUINOX?
To me it means that from this day forward, the days will begin to become longer and longer (until the Summer solstice in June).
Winter solstice is the astronomical event marking the shortest day and longest night of the year, when a hemisphere is tilted farthest away from the Sun, resulting in the Sun reaching its lowest point in the sky's daily path. For a more scientific explanation of this historical event, CLICK HERE.

THE PROGRAM, INCLUDING A SLIDE SHOW
Below is a “lineup” of what will occur. The program will take one hour.
Welcomes • Introductions • Go over program content • Address comments in the chat • Reflections during slide show • Countdown • GONG! • A minute of silence • Additional reflections with additional slide show • Address additional comments and questions in the chat • Thank you and goodbyes.
SEND US YOUR PHOTOS
We’re putting together a slide show during our celebration. Send us one or two of your personal photos that you feel represents the Winter Solstice to you.
This is not required, if you choose not to send a photo, that’s fine. We’re just trying to get as much of “you” participating in the moment as possible.
When you send your photos use JPG or PNC formats, and make sure your visual representations are NOT copyrighted.
CLICK HERE to email photos to us by December 14. We need prep time to create the slide show.
