It all started when . . .

. . . when . . . when we didn’t have performance material ready for a venue with specific specifications because we’d just come out of a major concert of our own work. So, I borrowed Nancy, the major character in my solo, Fractured; slow moving characters from my signature work, Snow; and fast moving characters from another of my works called David’s Fire. Costumes consisted of a red formal dress with puffy bulbous sleeves and a tiara, luscious brown and red dresses with wide skirts, and delicate white translucent costumes with lace. We performed sections from all three dances in the same space at the same time. The music was from something I normally would not use, but it was popular and well-liked by the masses. There was also a chair and a pedestal with a coffee maker brewing coffee on the stage. The result = a winner!
